Time

As a introduction i will use my background of where i started interests in art. this will lead up to and through my time at art school, where i discoverd my current medium of choice 'Time' and more importantly 'Rotoscoping'.
Also i would like to include how important Photoshop is to me.
I will compare and contrast the ideas of time and rotoscoping with life drawing and photography (my other preferd mediums).
I will also look at artists that are in my field and the ones that stand out to me.

In my essay i will explain what got me into life drawing and how i sold my first photograph as an artist (these are important beacuse i did not know of Electronic Arts before Art school).
This will include the steps i took and artists that inspired me to take on a challenge.
I will talk about Electronic Arts in my time at art school and where I think it is taking me, who are some artists i think are famous for their achievemants and how they relate to my own works.
I will develope ideas on rotoscoping and show how life drawing and phtography are a big part of my time based medium.
This would not be so easy (already so hard) without the help of Photoshop.
Photoshop is my plug from the frames to the animation sequence where the Scene turns into imagination.

I will use works that are like my own to explain what my art is about and how can it change or compare the ideas of electronic arts today.
Works that are similar, Scanner Darkly, A-Ha 'take on me'.
These two works i find the most appealing and have very strong relations of what my work is about.

Photo and life drawing combination is where this rotoscoption begins.
I will look at the artists and ideals of rotoscoping along side photography and life drawing as a way of explaining life drawn time.
A rotoscope is a series of frames (photos) that have been drawn on (life drawing) to make an animation (time).

From the Photo - Drawing - Animtation, using photoshop to draw.
This mabey a long process just to get an animation, 1 min of Scanner Darkly = 350 hours of artist time, but I understand and enjoy the process.

To conclude I would like to say that without life drawing and photos i would not be using photo shop everyday.
This particular method is like making a brink wall, there are shortcuts but mainly its a big wall to create.
Using animation as a way to express things in time with a unique style and emotion to show something otherwise not seen.
